Saravanan defends PAS in Parliament
Description
MIC deputy president M Saravanan has defended PAS against allegations from a DAP lawmaker that the Islamist party has been against the appointment of non-Muslim ministers.Saravanan noted that the party even established the non-Muslim PAS Supporters Congress, and it has been fair to all races.Last week, Umno and PAS announced the formalisation of their ties, which acting Umno president Mohamad Hasan described as their "wedding ceremony."
