shall we set in motion
a tango we can call our own
shall we dance
to our own rhythm and beat
oblivious to all the others
caught up in following the carefully choreographed moves
shall we connect and feel
my hands in yours
when everyone else remains bound
to their dance
its frustrating lack of contact
shall we move together
through these strange new motions
so unfamiliar to the memory of muscle and mind
let us smash their professionalism
against the wall of our passion
and as the shattered pieces rain down around us
shall we dance
