Sarah Riley - Perfection

When your heart aches.
When your eyes are tear-stained,
But only behind closed doors.
Your wrists are bloody,
Nothing a cute shirt can't hide.
Ripped up pictures,
filled black garbage bags.
No one sees.
No one knows.
Extreme chocolate intakes,
hidden by a finger in the throat.
Perfection is a fake smile,
for all the world to know.
