I hear a moaning in the breeze
And search for answers in the clouds
As I drift among the tallest trees
Or wander lone in busy crowds.

Words and laughter, time is swirled
And people seem so far away.
I live in my quiet world
And in a dream I pass the day.

If I should wake, the agony
Will return and rip my heart.
There is no other remedy.
In my dream we're not apart.

I dream until I fade away.
Must I live another day?
