another day
come and gone
and still i sit here
wondering what went wrong

am i thinking too much?
or not enough?
who knew my journey
would be this rough?

the end is so close
it's in plain sight
but is it worth
giving up the fight?

who knows what the future
will truly be like?
for most they say
it's worth the try

but just for the benefit
of staying alive
that's one fight
i will have to survive.
