I need to get you off of my mind
It’s driving me insane
You don’t want me, fine!
I will no longer love you in vain.

Separate the two
I need to fall out of love with you.

I struggle, pushing myself away
Only wanting the best for you every day

Forcing myself to smile when you speak her name
Secretly wishing it was me all the same
How can I desire you when it’s never been right?
Why do I push myself away and yet still continue to fight.

Life is too short I need to say what’s real
But it will not change the present time and that’s what hurts to feel
