Sara Stowell - Poem
10 Views • Jun 12, 2014
Description
Pitching and tossing ideas till they're whole
Heartbreak and hardship, romance and fate
Somebody out there somewhere can relate
A starlet, a mother, a wealthy mans wife
A teen filled with angst that is lost in this life
Can perhaps read those words and make them their own
And know in this world we are never alone
They can find in the message a glimmer of light
Something that maybe they've actually done right
When all hope is lost we can find in a poem
That somebody else is there waiting at home
It just doesn't matter who we are, what we've done
Getting lost in a poem, we can all become one
The form's not important if the message is true
These are the things that a poem should do
