Sara Stowell - A Happy Life

A happy life is something,
For which each of us strives,
To relish every moment,
Is to really be alive.
To let our needs be simple,
Is a most important goal,
To be content with what we have,
Is never to grow old.

A happy life can always find,
A reason to be glad,
Discounting the unhappiness,
That all of us have had.
Whose eager hands reach out to help,
Someone else in need,
Who has no room within itself,
For pettiness or greed.

A happy life is what God meant,
The whole world to know,
Not because he owed us,
But because he loved us so.
And wise are they who learn to care,
And hole true friendship dear,
Making Earth a bit of Heaven,
For as long as we are here!
