grass
legs and tails apart
light chocolate tissue
stretches a lining
a turtle; a mask
she will break free
soon to learn direction
her shell will be scraped
renewal of her soul
brushstroke of a breeze
inhale a new breath
the turtle transforms
a woman she becomes
