Sanjib Das - I Lost A Day

I am stading alone in the evening,
Absolutely alone:
I am looking at the sky,
Full of stars,
Venus is the brightest,
Venus remembers;
I 've passed a day.

I feel sad to consider,
My days are numbered,
Life is short.
Delight is only a part,
Maximum is sorrow,
Full of sorrow.

A day will not come in my life,
Dearth is approaching only a day earlier,
My heart says I want to live
For ever For ever
But Nature refuses
Warns to go ahead,
I hear from a distant
Death comes near by one day.
