Sandra Martyres - Dawn

At the break of dawn
We awaken to the music of
Migratory birds chirping away happily
These colorful little creatures
Perched high up in the trees
Call out to their mates so lovingly.
Having left the freezing zones
Of the north they have headed south
To regions with milder winters.
Truly a lovely way to welcome the start
Of another, otherwise routine day.
