Sandhya Suri - A Prayer

Take a piece of me
my soul
hone out my ragged edges
as the burden I shoulder
prays to you.

Reverse not my life
to flow backwards
when there is so much
ahead…

A life of love
that leads me blind
on to the dark shrouds of death
to join you forever
in light thereafter.
