Watch this insane video of a huge sandstorm in Crete turning the sky orange.
Maria Chedroom, a professional photographer from Crete, captured this footage of the orange sky of the island.
This is the aftermath of Storm Erminio, which has caused widespread destruction in parts of Greece, including the Attica region, where a man died in Nea Makri.
The powerful storm has carried the dust from Africa, and Crete, the popular holiday destination, turned an apocalyptic shade of red ahead of the Easter break.
Residents have been wearing face masks to protect themselves from the suffocating dust.
There have also been gale-force gusts on the island, and the rain, mixed with the dust, has created mud which has coated vehicles and buildings.
Maria said: “What you’re seeing is a fairly rare phenomenon here on Crete, a combination of strong winds and a large amount of dust transported from the Sahara.
“It turned everything an intense orange color within a very short time.
“While African dust is quite common here this time of year, the intensity and colour of this particular event surprised everyone.”
