San Juan hostage-taking incident ends

MANILA - A lawyer taken hostage by his security guard for almost nine hours in San Juan City was finally freed Tuesday morning. After an estimated 9 hours, the 67-year-old lawyer was finally taken out of the Optima building. Earlier, gunshots were heard from inside. According to the suspect's sibling, the security guard has been going through some personal problems. The suspect requested food and particular people in exchange for the release of the victim.
