You say I must write a poem,
But the question is does the poem write me? ”
You ask me to give a hand,
But the question is does the hand give me?
People ask me to pray to god
But the question is does god pray to me?
Philosophers tell me to keep an open mind,
But the question is does the mind keep open for me?
My mother says to only speak the truth,
But the question is does the truth speak to me?
The teachers say to always follow the rules,
But the question is do the rules follow me,
My true love says I must listen to my heart,
But the question is does my heart listen to me,
The mathematician says to find the right answer,
But the question is does the answer find me?
I say I love you,
But the question is do you love me?
Everyone says this poem makes no sense,
But the question is does the sense make this poem?
