Samsung's new mirrorless : NX200

Samsung Electronics launched its newest mirrorless camera, the NX200, on Thursday (September 29), but downplayed any expectations of strong sales.
Despite a forecast of three million in global sales of mirrorless cameras, Samsung's director of product planning Kim Young-Bae says the firm is aiming to sell between 170,000 to 250,000 this year.
(SOUNDBITE) (Korean) DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT PLANNING GROUP AT SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS, KIM YOUNG-BAE, SAYING:
"We need to settle down with our market share. Our target is about the same sales volume and market share as our compact cameras."
Samsung's NX200 is the latest upgrade in the company's NX series of cameras and offers a picture resolution of 20.3 megapixels.
Mirrorless cameras are a relatively new group of cameras that fall between the popular point-and-shoot compacts, and the larger more expensive and professional grade Digital SLRs.
As the name implies, these mirrorless cameras do not use mirrors, thus enabling a more compact size, while providing better quality than the point-and-shoots.
