Samsung Galaxy S6 Vs iPhone 6

While iPhone 6 Plus is the first ever phablet produced by Apple, Samsung is producing phablets from a very long time and if experts are to be believed, Apple has beaten up Samsung in it’s very first attempt. Samsung is again ready to pull Apple down in any possible way with its upcoming flagship phablet, Samsung Galaxy S6. Anyway, the flagship is arriving early next year and customers are contemplating that whether it is a good time for purchasing its precursor or not? Some people are even confused between Samsung Galaxy S6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus. Display

Galaxy S6 features a Quad HD AMOLED display with an enormous resolution of 2560 x 1640 whereas Apple iPhone 6 Plus has Full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The screen size of Galaxy S6 is expected to be 5.5 inch or 6 inch as compared to 5.5 inch in iPhone 6 Plus. Note that iPhone 6 Plus features a plain LED display whereas Samsung Galaxy S6 will be coming in OLED display, so obviously Samsung Galaxy S6 has a clear lead here.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy S6 will feature 20+ megapixel camera with dual LED flash whereas iPhone 6 Plus has 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash. There’s a huge difference in figures here but you have to keep in mind that more megapixels don’t define a better picture output as there are many factors involved for a best shot.

Performance

Samsung Galaxy S6 will be powered by a 64-bit Octa-Core Exynos 7420 processor whereas iPhone 6 Plus is powered with Dual-Core 1.4 Giga Hertz Cyclone ARM v8-based processor which is backed up by just 1 GB RAM where as Galaxy S6 is expected to have 3 GB RAM. Samsung always uses a powerful processor than iPhone but at the end iPhone performs better and that’s maybe because Samsung comes with lot of extra features and of course with its official bloatware. Another reason could be better memory management.

Operating System

Samsung Galaxy S6 may be shipped with latest Android that is Android Lollipop with of course the taste of its latest Touch Wiz interface whereas Apple iPhone 6 Plus comes with iOS 8 which is up-gradable to iOS 8.1 however.

Miscellaneous Features

Samsung Galaxy S6 will be equipped with a Fingerprint Scanner and could possibly feature an Iris Scanner whereas iPhone 6 Plus comes with a Fingerprint Scanner only. There would be three variants of Samsung Galaxy S6 – 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB and iPhone 6 Plus also comes in three variants – 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB.

We can expect a better battery life in Samsung Galaxy S6 which may be fueled with a 3500 milliampere hours Li-Ion battery whereas Apple iPhone 6 Plus offers a non-removable 2915 milliampere hours Li-Po battery.

Clearly Samsung Galaxy S6 is better with specifications but a phone with better specifications is not always a winner. Samsung definitely has to do well with interface and design in order to beat Apple iPhone 6 Plus.
