Samsung Electronics to unveil next generation DRAM

삼성전자, 1.5배 빨라진 차세대 모바일 D램 개발

Samsung Electronics unveiled its new generation D-RAM chip.
The new 10-nanometer-class, eight-gigabyte D-RAM will be primarily used in smartphones and in the mobile AI sector.
The new DRAM chip,... called the Low Power Double Data Rate 5,... can process data 1-point-5 times faster than the ones currently used in smartphones.
Users would be able to download about 14 full HD movies per second with the new chip.
The chip also uses up to thirty percent less power than current chips.
