Samsung Electronics releases earnings for 2018

The world's biggest smartphone maker Samsung Electronics has released its earnings report for 2018.
It shows Samsung recorded lower-than-expected operating profits during the October-to-December period,... but for the entirety of 2018, the company's sales soared to an all-time-high.
However, Samsung Electronics finished the year on a bum note.
Its operating profits in the fourth quarter tumbled 28-point-7-percent on-year to around 9-point-7-billion U.S. dollars... while fourth quarter sales dropped 10-point-6-percent to record 52-point-8-billion dollars.
Sales during 2018 surpassed 217-point-7-billion dollars... due to a semiconductor boom.
