Sameer Daniel Gardner - The Jump
6 Views • Jun 16, 2014
Description
The world would see it as an accident.
It was a well thought out plan,
Which would seem like a sad incident.
Since being a depressed soul did not suit,
He told people he was going to sky dive.
But had secretly decided he wont open the parachute,
For he did not want to stay alive.
He stood ready to jump with shaky nerves,
Deep down we never want what we deserve.
From that height the earth and sky,
Seemed beautiful to even those who wanted to die.
He jumped suppressing some guilt and fear,
But things began to get clear.
He thought-if he had the guts to face death,
He could be strong enough to take more breaths.
And what is happiness but a state of mind,
Which will be achieved sooner or later.
As enough has been poured for mankind,
By that merciful creator.
He smiled and decided to give life another nod,
And pulled the parachute's cord.
A tower of suicidal thoughts now lay broken,
But the parachute did not open...
