Samanyan Lakshminarayanan - a beaten path

i tread on this hard path
laid down by my experiences
experiences gives birth to opinions
layer after layer
on and of the same opinion
a hard path i lay
to walk on it with
a thudding assurance
not straying
not looking
hither or thither
i walk on this beaten path

sadly..
out of love or what
i know not
all my experiences go
all the way out
to strengthen and pamper
my opinions to say
'see i told you so'
hampering my true vision
of the experiences

all my experiences go a waste
am made to take the beaten path
all the way...through life
