Description

Once I was a child,
Devils were bored,
My God was Lord,
His words over world.

Men were not brutish,
They were not swinish.

I was told:
Life is short,
Make fun bold,
Put sad on hold.

Now the world is nasty,
We make it gusty,
The life is pasty,
The man is hasty.

We committed persecution,
We accepted oppression,
We were cruel,
The underdog as well.

Let’s wake up,
And wash the eyes,
Let’s see the coin,
On the other side.

Let’s see the world,
What’s going on,
Let’s see the poor,
What they’re looking for.

Let’s see the great powers,
Their thirst for standing on towers.

See the shadow,
Across the window,
See the dark,
The teeth of the shark,
See the bad,
As well as the sad.

See the night,
Then the sky’s moon,
See the sun,
Dawn will arrive soon!
