Story opens with Inspector Vijay(Krishna) recieves Rastrapathi Award for his best services to public. Ranganna(Satyanarayana) felt proud of his son when vijay was honoured. Ranganna was a thief killed vijay's parents for money when Vijay was a kid, Ranganna realizes what a big mistake he was done to vijay and adopts vijay as his son. To do penance for his mistakes he was surrendered and jailed for 14years. Story begins after Ranganna release as he is thief once no one else dare make a relation with Ranganna's family. How Ranganna and Vijay faced all the hurdles and lead a happy life is story.
