I saw a message
In broken twigs
And erased by winds
“Read the Sunday funnies,
And then warm yourself with them”

I made eye contact
With a falling bird
Plummeting faster than life

“I’ll land in a bed
Of the feathers I’ve shed”

There’s a hot air balloon,
In the mind of a child
With a banner that reads
“Tintern Abbey is no longer pretty”
