Sam Smith Opens Up About New Album

In a conversation with "Extra," Sam Smith talked about his new album and explained that writing music for him is like therapy. Smith said he feels exposed in his new album "The Thrill of it All," and does not feel like he is hiding anything from his audience. He further explained that he feels "really empowered and strong" with his sexuality as a gay man. When asked what changed Smith said: “I looked after myself, I stopped being so hard on myself. It is a work in progress everyday.”
