You're sick of talking about us,
And I'm sick of thinking about it,
So why are we just speaking,
Not admitting that were doubting,
That things were a mistake,
That we regret what we did,
That pandoras' box should've stayed closed,
And we'd never remove the lid,

Still you can't turn back time,
Nor would I given the choice,
I only think you could be more vocal,
And actually use your voice,
To tell me that you hate me,
To yell or scream or shout,
Instead of remaining deathly silent,
And filling me with doubt,

Over what your thinking or feeling,
Its like reading a closed book,
And that allure of mystery,
Keeps me upon your hook,
Will things ever be the way they were?
I guess we'll see, in time,
Maybe not if I get my way,
Cos away from you I'll climb.
