My distant Valentine
How I wish you were mine
Although we see each other every day
It seems like your miles and miles away
As the day grows near
The pain in my heart gets more severe
Because I know I won’t be there
To run my fingers through your hair
Or bring you breakfast in bed
With a vase full of roses that are red
I won’t feel your sweet caress
Or wrap are arms and legs together in a tangled mess
This special day will sting because we are apart
Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad, if I hadn’t fell so hard
Even though I won’t be around that day
You can rest assure I will be thinking of you in a very special way
