The folks at Farmer's Fridge have created a vending machine that outclasses those carousel jobs in your middle school lunch room by a lot. The salads and other healthy snacks are local, organic, and delivered daily. So no wondering if that apple has been sitting in a little compartment for a week or two. This may be the best idea for a vending machine we've ever reported on the Food Feeder!(Admittedly, that's a pretty low bar). Farmer's Fridge's operations are confined to Chicago, because businesses built on the concepts of "local" and "Fresh daily" don't scale up as speedily as those based on "High Fructose Corn Syrup."
