With every dropp of grain falling
I grow closer to the end of the road
For what is beyond i cannot see
As for what has passed i choose not to

Shielded have i the wounds of the past
Yet they have bared their mark as scars
For all to see the damage caused to me

Black is the outlook of my future
For the path prescribed to me
Will surely bring me to unbearable chaos
Leading to the loss of a will in survival

Sadness consumed with every heart beat
As realization sets in the mental process
That a life destined for nothing but black
Will never have truly lived at all
