SAG awards, Lohan in court
Description
Lindsay Lohan was in court for a probation progress hearing and earned good marks with the judge. The judge told the court that Lohan was on task for competing her required community service. She's due back in court for another progress hearing on January 17.
Elizabeth Taylor's jewelry collection sold for a record-setting 115 million dollars at auction. Bringing in the highest price was a pearl, diamond and ruby necklace which sold for 11.8 million dollars. Another hot ticket item - the diamond ring that Richard Burton gave her -garnered 8.8 million, even though it was only estimated between 2 and 3 million dollars.
Finally, George Clooney has signed on to star in the Los Angeles premiere of "8" - a play chronicling the trial in the federal constitutional challenge to California's Proposition 8, which revoked the right for gays to marry in the state. The play is set to run for one night only - March 3, 2012.
