Sabir Ali expelled from BJP

Amidst displeasure in the BJP over his induction, the party on Saturday annulled the membership of expelled JD(U) leader Sabir Ali on Saturday. Announcing this BJP chief Rajnath Singh asked party members to raise internal issues in party fora only and not go public.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Ali had asked the BJP leadership to put his membership on hold till the charges against him are cleared.

The Rajya Sabha MP also offered to quit politics forever if it was proved that he has any connection with terrorist Yasin Bhatkal as alleged by senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.
