The sky snow leopard settles
its ermine cloak on the city.
Fireplace smoke whirls
swiftly up the chimney
swirls languidly a moment, then
darts westward to linden trees
and vanishes
like weary souls returning
to galaxies spinning in
the stillness of the
still silent All.

Ash cloak of smoke
settles in the air,
drifting to a
barren soil.
Night whispers.
at rest.
