Description

Lady in black and white
to be taught what of the gray area,
I've wandered into.
Deafened by her own voice preaching,
“fear is the root of love.”

I held my tongue in my catholic gown
white lace & pearls, a thistle crown.

Spores in the torment-ridden sage, spread out
into the world of brainwashed babes.
maleable clay under autumn's budding hues;
leaflets, granite and bone

structure fretting on play grounds,
the boys and girls.
slated to have their knuckles bruised,
wrists' reddened choking chalk dust.

to listen, to adapt, to cling & cope in
strict adherance.

I held my tongue to be called out all the same.
