I ask you god to take my hand
and lead me from this empty land
to a place where I can be free
guide me as I follow thee.

I know not the reason why
somethings happen and people die
even in a lovely season
everything happens for a reason

It keeps me going when I am down
knowing that your all around
through the thick and the thin
you've helped me again and again

Always watching over me
allowing my heart to be free
knowing I'm safe as I sleep
I give you my soul its yours to keep
