Ruth Walters - Gregory

I talk to Gregory,
but he never answers,
just looks straight ahead,
appealingly.

He has a little pot belly,
a rather long nose,
cute little ears
and silky hair.

I talk to Gregory
when he looks lonely
and I know lonely
in every way

so I never lay blame
when he doesn't reply
but allow him his silence.
It's just his way.

I guess he's a friend,
my Gregory bear
and though he's been stuffed
I don't really care.
