Mas assim que eles aterrissam explode uma bomba na embaixada americana que mata dois agente disfarçados, que investigam a falsificação de um valioso anel. A polícia de Hong Kong acredita que o crime tenha sido cometido pelo líder da Tríade Ricky Tan, que foi parceiro do pai de Lee, no passado e foi um dos responsáveis por sua morte. Levando o crime para o lado pessoal, Lee, resolve participar das investigações juntamente com Carter, que agora sente-se totalmente deslocado no local, já que nunca tinha estado em Hong Kong antes e não está habituado com as tradições locais.
