Runaway tortoise makes triumphant return home
Description
Tortoises may be notoriously slow, but this one still managed to run away from home.Zulu, the 80 pound runaway reptile, made a break for it down the street, surprising neighbors and prompting them to call the police.Miramar police posted photos of the tortoise on social media in a search to find his family.Zulu was reunited with his owner Mary Schul four hours later, and she said this wasn't the first time he has escaped."When he gets his mind going and wants to leave he just goes," she said."I'm happy, elated, I couldn't sleep last night."She plans to get a tag to keep track of Zulu in the future just in case the rebellious reptile breaks free again.
