Ruling on Accidentally Eating or Drinking while Fasting

If someone accidentally eats or drinks while fasting, the ruling is as follows:

Tafseer:

The Quran and Hadith provide guidance on this issue.

For example, in Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah (SWT) says:

"...and whoever is ill or on a journey, then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship..." (Quran 2:185)

In a Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

"If someone forgets and eats or drinks, then let him complete his fast, for Allah has fed him and given him drink." (Bukhari)

Ruling:

If someone accidentally eats or drinks while fasting, their fast is still valid, and they do not need to make up for the day.
