RSS likely to adopt resolution on population 'imbalance'

A uniform population policy for all Indians, irrespective of their religious affiliation, is likely to be on the top of RSS agenda during its meeting that starts today in Ranchi. The RSS top brass had made a pitch for such a population policy soon after the Centre released the data of the religious census for the country. Ahead of the meet, RSS top brass has sought a countrywide debate over the Upamanyu Hazarika Commission's report that illegal migration from Bangladesh is threatening to reduce the indigenous population of Assam to a minority by the year 2047.
