Rove Monteux's album, Mors Optima (“Death is Best” in Latin), is a Doom Metal album profoundly inspired by the somber reflections of the ancient Greek tragedian Euripides. The album draws its central theme from Euripides' poignant quote: "Happiest is he who never faced life’s evils. But the next best thing, by far, is to die at birth." ("ὃς μὴ γενόμενος τῶνδέ γ' ἤνυσεν κακῶν, φρονεῖν ἄριστος. δεύτερος δ᾽ ἔοικε θανών εὐθύς.”) in its original Greek.

This album explores the depths of human suffering and existential dread, channeling the raw, melancholic energy characteristic of Doom Metal.
