Roshan Roy - Lonely Me

I am a person
A person with no confidence.
I am a friend,
A friend like a book of secrets.
I am too fast,
But not fast enough to swim out of myself.
You were close to me,
But I had to act as if I was blind.
Though you wanted to modify our friendship,
I had to refuse your idea.
You wanted to talk to me,
But I had to act as if was deaf.
You thought I was ignoring you,
But I had lost the courage to face you.
You painted a dream of yours
And asked me to complete it.
But I had to act as if I was too busy to help you.
You were hoping a lot from me,
But I had to disappoint you.
You were waiting only for me,
But I was lost in my own dreamland.
You were dreaming to enter my world,
But I thought I was happy alone.
Finally, you chose to move in your life,
But I had to farewell you with a smile.
You are now lost from my world,
Still I am living, but lost inside myself.
