Description

My grandfather died this summer. I wrote this poem on my grandma's fridge in magnet poetry - writing with a set frame of words is hard! I thought it turned out pretty good, though.

near roses red and sweet
may he sleep

and dream.

Death does not take the lazy moments of summer
or the love of a friend now gone

Bitter wind blows
and sky moans for life not lived

But moon soars and sings

Because time cannot void love
nor stop a garden from growing.

still

cry if you like
but look through your tears
after all
light and love still shine,
and spring will come again.
