Ropeburn is a band from Bucharest that explores the hardcore punk, metal and sludge sounds. Religion, personal traumas and angst are the lyrical concepts used to scream away the shallow condition of humanity, while the band finds its relief into groovy, aggressive and loud music.

"The song is currently "code-named" 08, as it's our latest composition and we never got to the naming part (same goes for all, but this is the newest song so the excuse is more valid).

A while ago we started filming our rehearsals in order to stop losing catchy riffs and song ideas that we came up with, so "08" is the first song from the 'what the hell did we play last time?" series. It's probably the most 'natural' composition so far, as we didn't actually change anything from the original jam session, so we kind of kept that 'how did we get to this part now' vibe.

The lyrics picture the struggle of a someone trying to overcome the reality he's in, while keeping intact the somewhat idealistic views on the world. Somehow, it has an overview on how one experiences life and disappointment while being confronted with expectations that can't be met."
