When I place them in my ear
They become my escape
From the world’s ignorance
Pain, and strife
Mornings with the horde
Simply wanting to go from a to b
But still wanting to be lost in the process
Wanting to ignore the night screams of terror
Just being in need for a time with self
When I place them in my ear
I can tune out the world
And tune into self because sometimes
You have to be the only one that matters
The music is a catalyst
Which advances the process
The more my head bangs
The more of me I see, feel, get to know
So when they are in my ear
And I tune you out
Don’t be mad I’m just looking for an answer
