Hail thy sorcery, O mighty mountain
What wondrous legerdemain dost thou do!
Toying with the Helios as if,
He were an hare in sorcerer's hat!

Hail thee, O lascivious charmer!
What enticing spell didst thou cast
To enamour the vagabond clouds that
Condescended to caress thy sensuous contour!

Awestruck, I behold thee in twilight
Flanked by the Selene and stars
Whilst the gushing cascades sing a lullaby
And the sylvan wind howls, 'Encore! '

What occult yarn didst thou spin
To make the heaven and earth yield to thy whim!
Art thou some divine maiden in accursed sopor?
Another victim of Athena's envious wrath?

Shalt thou arise on some doomsday, and -
Renounce the sublunary sphere for the sublime?
Hail thee, O mystic mountain
Whose beauty is eternal tranquil....
