Robert Rorabeck - Kiss The Sun
100 Views • Jun 13, 2014
Description
Someone like you,
You and you alone,
And let the rest of the
World be
The helpless dream
Running through the epileptic
Forest at sunset;
Then you must concede
The light is brilliant
As it is failing
And yet still playing
The last of its childhood games.
When the soft shadows
Mature into a starlit honeymoon,
Enclosed,
The leaping vision of that
Day becomes entombed
In the night's chirping bossom;
Yet, awakening,
The heavenly fires
Breathe upon the slopes
Reveal evidence of our
Entercourse,
Our children the golden
Aspen, yawning,
As the populated meadows disrobe
And kiss the dawn.
