The most important decision of my existence
Must be made within this single moment
I’ve prepared myself for days and nights before
But still it crept up on me like a shadow

No time to worry for my reason of procrastination
My choice needs to be acted upon immediately
A delusional state of mind sets in
Confusion haunts my very sense of being

Pressure builds up as the sweat drips from my brow
Fear intensifies as my stomach begins to harden
The future creates distress as it clings in my grasp
The clock is my worst enemy as time slips away

How frightful the future can seem
When all the world’s worries hang like a fog over me
