This is the third feature film in the American franchise based on the Japanese horror film Ring, following The Ring and The Ring Two. The film is produced by Laurie MacDonald. The film stars Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe and Johnny Galecki. Principal photography began on March 23, 2015, in Atlanta. The film will be released on October 28, 2016.
