Ringing up trouble on the road
Description
The Star's observation showed some drivers still can be seen using their mobile phones while driving on the road, despite knowing that this is prohibited.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said that the number of accidents caused by drivers using their phones is worrying and authorities are hoping this bad habit will end when this is made an offence under the demerit system.
He said this after launching Anjung Malaysia at KL International Airport on Tuesday.
