The brief silence in your speech
is an empty space
that streams down the mysterious valley.
As curious as I am,
the time that rushes
through the changing seasons.

The long silence in our life
is just another question
that floats in the starless skies.
There’ll be thousands of good wishes
hiding quietly
behind the mighty rain.

As it pours gently
my pause and yours
will keep passing by the street lights;
they are possibilities, lies, excuses,
and everything
that drift our stories away
into a mortal existence.
